Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO)
Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC is investigating potential claims on behalf of purchasers of Fair Isaac Corporation (“Fair Isaac” or “the Company”) (NYSE: FICO). Investors who purchased Fair Isaac securities are encouraged to obtain additional information and assist the investigation.
The investigation concerns whether Fair Isaac has violated federal securities laws.
Fair Isaac Investigation Details
On September 28, 2026, the Federal Housing Finance Agency announced changes intended to simplify mortgage pricing and expand the use of alternative credit scoring models in mortgage underwriting. Following the announcement, Rocket Mortgage stated that it would use VantageScore 4.0, a direct competitor to the traditional FICO score, as its preferred credit scoring model after testing that it said helped identify more qualified clients.
Previously, during Fair Isaac’s April 28, 2026 earnings call, Chief Executive Officer Will Lansing stated that the Company anticipated “no loss of volume to Vantage in this fiscal year.” At a May 5, 2026 Barclays conference, Lansing also questioned whether “Vantage gets any share at all” even if approved. During the Company’s July 29, 2026 earnings call, Lansing stated that VantageScore could potentially obtain up to 20% share, while suggesting customers seeking to use both models would still need to pull both a FICO Score and a VantageScore.
Following the FHFA and Rocket Mortgage announcements, Fair Isaac’s stock price opened down more than 20% on September 29, 2026.
